2021 All of Me Iowa Project – Sexual Health and Oncology Virtual Event
Patient-Provider Communication Workshops
Cancer patients have been suffering in silence when it comes to sexual health issues after treatment. They are in need of information and realistic expectations of the impact treatment will have on their sexual health. Following is a sample of an on-site half-day program designed to help normalize the conversation between providers and patients regarding sexual health after cancer. Programs and workshops can be customized to fit your specific needs and CEU/CMEs are available at no charge through Des Moines University.
Bridging the Communication Gap
Attendees will obtain the confidence to address sexual health issues, to normalize the conversation while taking a sexual history, and to set appropriate expectations for their patients.
